Marie-Thé Morin est une autrice dramatique, romancière, scénariste, traductrice, conteuse, parolière et cofondatrice de VOX Théâtre à Ottawa. Comédienne, chanteuse et marionnettiste, elle a créé et joué pour tous les auditoires, de la petite enfance à un public adulte. Depuis 45 ans, on a pu apprécier la justesse de ses interprétations dans les spectacles de VOX Théâtre, du Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario, de la Bébitte poétique, du Théâtre du Trillium, du Centre national des Arts, du Triangle Vital, du Théâtre de la Vieille 17 et du Théâtre de Sable. Elle a signé la mise en scène de sa pièce Le Volcan l’automne dernier et on pourra bientôt l'apprécier sur scène dans la pièce Visages d’Alexia Bürger, coproduction du Théâtre français du CNA et d’Espace Go du 14 avril au 9 mai.

Ses performances pour le jeune public ont marqué l’imaginaire, notamment son interprétation de Dorothée dans OZ et de Maïta. Elle a reçu le prix Rideau de l’Interprétation à deux reprises : en 2017 pour sa performance dans Le gars qui voulait se faire phénix d’Antoine Côté Legault et en 2023 pour Jean dans la pièce solo Intrusions de Joan Macleod. Avec Errances et Départs déjà parus, elle travaille présentement le tome final d'une trilogie de romans qui explore les frontières entre les vivants et les morts.

Marie-Thé Morin is a playwright, novelist, screenwriter, translator, storyteller, lyricist, and co-founder of VOX Theatre in Ottawa. An actress, singer, and puppeteer, she has created and performed for audiences of all ages. For 45 years, audiences have enjoyed her inspired interpretations in shows from VOX Theatre, Théâtre du Nouvel-Ontario, La Bébitte poétique, Théâtre du Trillium, the National Arts Centre, Triangle Vital, Théâtre de la Vieille 17 and Théâtre de Sable. She directed her play Le Volcan last fall and will soon be appearing on stage in Visages by Alexia Bürger, a co-production of the NAC French Theatre and Espace Go, from April 14 to May 9.

Her performances for young audiences have captured the imagination, notably her portrayal of Dorothy in OZ and Maïta. She has twice received the Rideau Award for Best Performance: in 2017 for Le gars qui voulait se faire phénix by Antoine Côté Legault and in 2023 for Jean in the solo play Intrusions by Joan Macleod. With Errances and Départs already published, she is currently working on the final volume of a trilogy of novels that explores the boundaries between the living and the dead.
